Jim's career began in the South Australian Auditor General's Department followed by appointments at large metropolitan Councils as a Director and a senior position in one of the major banks. He joined Dean Newbery in 2000 to head up our agribusiness client base and Balaklava office which he has now overseen for over 20 years.

Jim's background growing up in country New South Wales working in various family businesses gave him the unique appreciation of the challenges and opportunities faced by regional businesses and their families. Jim's personal approach to helping his clients is built on his own experiences and desire to get the best outcomes for his clients.

Specialising in tax and business advisory services for small to medium business, Jim works across a range of industries, with a particular interest in assisting clients with business structuring and succession planning to achieve business continuity across generations.

His all-round experience and skill set gives Jim a unique ability to approach his engagements with a determination to find the right solution.
