Anton's career path gives him a perspective few accountants can offer. Starting out as a Project Administrator and Finance Officer for an electrical construction company in South Africa, he gained firsthand insight into the day-to-day realities of running a business — managing budgets, cash flow, job costing and reporting under real commercial pressure. That understanding of what sits behind the numbers is something he brings to every client engagement.

After building his audit experience at a mid-tier Adelaide firm, Anton joined Dean Newbery in 2021. Since then, he has expanded his expertise to encompass accounting and taxation services, complementing his strong foundation in management accounting and audit. He works across a diverse client base advising on financial reporting, compliance obligations, business structuring and tax planning.

That blend of commercial and technical experience allows Anton to deliver practical, high-quality advice — always with a focus on adding real value. Rather than simply reporting on what has happened, he looks for the opportunities behind the figures: where efficiencies can be found, where risks are emerging, and where better systems or reporting could support stronger decision-making.
